Well hello! It’s been awhile! (I know, I know….) I really thought blogging would get easier after rotations and graduation were finished, but boy was I wrong! Selling your entire life and moving across the country is no joke. But, it’s been a refreshing experience and we are all settled in now.
Unfortunately regular blogging will still be on hold for a little while. My husband and I are living in my dad’s winter home about 30 minutes south of where we will be working. And although I greatly appreciate his generosity in loaning us this house and saving us oodles of money, it’s not exactly the easiest to blog. While we don’t live in a retirement community, it’s totally a retirement community. I feel like the hills have eyes around us. But there are no hills, so it’s just the nosy neighbors. And there are rules upon rules. I didn’t see anything in the association rules about taking random pictures of women in the street not being allowed, but I have an inkling that might be unwarranted. Whateryagunnodo?
So anyway, until we buy our own house (hopefully sooner than later!), instagram updates it is. Which aren’t so bad, they just don’t feature the full effect of how the outfit details truly lay and fit.
IG outfit #1:
This was my first true “Floridian” outfit worn last week – I was so excited to finally be able to wear these shorts! I loved them so much, I think I purchased them back in like, February? Eep. I can’t say enough about these types of shorts though! They are pull-on! And comfy. J. Crew Factory carries them in tons of colors, and this particular print is now on clearance. Win-win! My tank is a relaxed boyfriend-type fit and I bought quite a few colors when they were on sale for $6. They are lightweight, loose-fit, and perfect for summer. And did I mention they have 13 different prints and colors?! Yup, I need more.
Shorts: J. Crew Factory – same // Tank: Old Navy – same // Necklace – Old Navy (in store only) // Sandals: GAP – same // Watch: Michael Kors – same // Bracelet – J. Crew Factory (old) – super similar
IG outfit #2:
This dress is so easy. It’s just a simple shift and perfect for summer. Last season I was all about Loft and Target — this spring Old Navy has been my go to for simple, affordable outfits that feel and look more expensive then they are. I didn’t wear a necklace on this particular day. I’ve noticed that I get a little uncomfortable with the southern Florida humidity when things are around my neck. Stacking bracelets? No problem. 🙂
Bracelet: – Express (old) – super cute
