Pink Tee + Jeans to Work

So, today’s outfit is a little different (only slightly) because I’m pairing jeans, with a tee, and… loafers? Normally you’d see a pair of sandals or maybe sneakers on a ‘casual’ outfit, but starting this week we found out at work we can basically wear… whatever we want! (almost) We still have to wear closed toe shoes (hence loafers), but we were given the green light on jeans, tees, sneakers – you name it! I’m still baffled, like I’m doing something naughty. 😂 Denim can’t have holes. I’m hesitant to push the limits on raw hems, but feel these jeans shown here are decent. Crazily enough, I really don’t have too many pairs of jeans without holes! I always wear jeans on my day off, so I always wanted to make them fun and comfy (with holes ha) – not dressy and business casual! I have maybe 3-4 pairs that are ‘work appropriate’, so you might see an increase in ‘nice denim’ (lol) on the blog in the future!

I’m a little unsure how that will change things on the blog in days to come. I can’t imagine I’ll ever be one to wear jeans everyday to work. Or if I do, you will likely see an increase in colored denim to make it more interesting. I still love my skirts and chinos, so I can’t imagine giving those up, but dress pants are probably my least favorite thing to wear only because it’s hard to find pairs that fit me well. Banana Republic sloan pants and LOFT Marisa pants are kind of my last leg in that department and honestly sometimes those even change season to season.

I wear everything shown on the blog and never buy things for the blog specifically. I’m just a natural shopaholic and love to share my finds with you guys! 😆 So that being said, I hope it doesn’t change things for you and you still love seeing casual outfits as well as a little dressier casual mixed with some business casual is how I envision my closet shifting.

Now… on to the outfit!

This tee comes in 4 prints/colors and I was instantly drawn to the pretty pink (of course). It’s a sturdier cotton which makes it nicer for work. The sleeves are longer also which I find nice for air conditioning. I paired the tee here with jeans for an intro to my “omg I can wear jeans to work” post haha, but can easily sub in a pair of blue or black chinos or pants – and pair it with fun printed shoes! Ok, now this flatlay outfit feels boring – future outfit to come! 😁
