Holding Onto Summer:

If it’s possible that somehow Florida got hotter the last week then it was all summer, it definitely happened. We had cooler nights for awhile, and thought maybe ‘fall’ down here was just around the corner, and then just like that mother nature laughs and gives us 78 degree nights, humidity, and the most intense heat from the sun she can come up with! Thankfully I work in a freezing air conditioned environment so I laughed right back and am still wearing all my new fall goodies. 😜 That being said, I thought I would throw together a summer like outfit, but with a little fall transition.

Also – if anyone that reads my blog lives in SC/NC/Virginia area, you are all in my thoughts! Florence is approaching the same time Irma was hitting us this week last year. My Facebook memories popped up today and literally this day last year I was staying in a hotel in Athens, GA fearful I would not come home to a house. As scary as Irma was, the storm surge capability and potential landfill stalling that could occur with Florence is worse. The best advice I can give, is listen to your local emergency management team. They are the most knowledgable and trustworthy people in your area. The media can hype or falsify the situation. If your emergency team says “go” – that means GO. You can replace your belongings, but not you and yours. 💙
