Instagram Lately

Hi everyone! I’m posting a late Tuesday night Instagram Lately update – been a little behind (as always) this week. Our dog, Eddie, had another surgery on Friday and so between husband and I we’ve been babysitting and making sure he gets the best care he can possibly get while recovering. The surgery was removal of a cancerous mass on his side and opposite cheek, so this surgery has been a little more rough than the last one in December (removal of a mass on his leg) since it’s uncomfortable for him to sleep. And if ya’ll have never brought home a dog recovering from anesthesia, you are lucky LOL! The first night is always the best. 🙂 Thankfully we all survived the weekend, his pain seems to be at minimal and he’s sleeping much better. However, my fried little brain had to work all weekend and come yesterday I didn’t know if I could dress myself for the day, let alone blog about it! 😂

I figured I’d kick the week off with Instagram pictures and finish it off with some mirror photos documenting some outfits I’ve worn lately! I hope you all have a fantastic week! ❤️

Although we are having warm summer days already, our nights can be cool. I love having a thermal top like this that’s weekend and evening ready to throw on and head out the door! It’s currently on sale for $19 and comes in 4 color options.

top: Target | shorts: Old Navy | bag: Sole Society (my version is older)

loafers: LOFT (old) – option | earrings: Kendra Scott

Outfit #2:

I wore this scallop top with white denim the other day on the blog, however it’s so easy to dress up also! I love that gingham pants are so popular right now and this top paired really well them. My exact top is almost sold out, but check out this new arrival from Old Navy – almost the exact same color and beautiful detail!

top: Nordstrom (almost sold out) – beautiful option | gingham pants: Old Navy

belt (old): option | flats: Kate Spade (old) – option | bag: Rebecca Minkoff (old) – option

Outfit #3:

I love when stores come out with newer versions of an old favorite! My skirt really isn’t that old, from this past late winter season/early spring, and LOFT re-released it in the same pattern but with a cute button detail! I loved it paired in the ad photo with a plain white tee, so I followed suit in a short sleeve sweater.

skirt: LOFT | sweater: LOFT (mine is older)

flats: Kate Spade (exact are old) – newer version | necklace: Target

Outfit #4:

Sometimes you just gotta wear a festive floral shirt to work. Easy, comfortable, and a no-brainer to wear.

Express floral portofino shirt, AE jeans, white skinny belt, white loafers

top: Express | jeans: AE | belt (old): option | loafers: ALDO

Outfit #5:

Love, love, love this tie back tank! Such a great early summer release! I purchased my normal size because I want to keep the back closed and not loose, but if you are longer waisted I would go up one size. Since I’m shorter, I can tie the top a little higher up and tighter without feeling weird since I’m a midget. 😝 Also, it comes in a ton of color options!

J.Crew tie back tank top, AE denim shorts, Steve Madden Porter Slide Sandals

top: J.Crew | shorts: AE | bag: Sole Society (old) – option

sandals: Steve Madden  | earrings: Baublebar (old) – option

  Outfit #6:

This linen tank top was hands down on my favorite items last summer! I somehow put a small hole in mine (probably from wearing it every single day lol), and had to throw it away. I was ecstatic when Banana re-released it and in a ton of different colors! Solids and stripes.

sizing: So, here’s the deal with sizing on this top. Last year I purchased a regular XS, but I felt like it shrunk to be just a little tighter than I liked. This year I went with a regular S, I’ve already washed it once, and would say it shrunk a tiny bit, but not as much as last year so that’s good. It’s 100% linen. I would say you could go either way with sizing. I’m only 5’2″ and felt like regular sizing was fine. It was a little long on me but in that comfy oversized way.

Outfit #7:

Just another great linen option for spring! I think this week was the ‘linen’ week! 😂 The ruffle back comes just to the top of my denim in the back (no skin showing). Comes in several color options and fits TTS.
