Saturday: On Sale 10/5/19

Hi friends! Lots of great items are on sale this weekend, including both sweaters and jeans below are under $50! I just ordered both pairs of booties (I chose the darker brown color of the Vince bootie, and light brown of the Lucky bootie), got them in the mail yesterday… and love them! The pointy toe on the Vince bootie is unique and incredibly classy! The Lucky booties I’ve wanted forever and so glad I finally scooped them up. You can find other color options in the Lucky bootie here. Also, so many Kate Spade accessories on sale! If you like her bags, the ones below are to die for!

Work Outfit: Favorite Plaid Skirt

This picture is older, but I just had to share my favorite (and easiest to style) windowpane plaid skirt for work is back in stock at the LOFT Outlet store!  I love that they re-release past favorites via the Outlet, and maybe even put their own spin on things. Right now they are having a great sale and this skirt is only $27! You can also save an extra $20 off $100 if you find more goodies! (Like the corduroy skirt I share every fall because it’s a closet must have!). If you prefer to stay with the regular LOFT store, their version this season is the ‘flippy skirt‘ in the same windowpane print. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Flatlay: Leopard Sneakers

One of my favorite fall trends this season are leopard sneakers! I mean, you know I love all things leopard, but the accessories really make up an outfit. There are so many options available right now, from a fancier Kate Spade version (here), dependable Steve Madden (here), or an affordable version like mine from Target!

#OOTD Weekly Roundup

Hi friends! It’s been a little while since I’ve posted consistently, and I’ve had a little blogger break and feeling a lot better! These long back to back 12.5 hour work shifts have taken a toll on my body and mind, but I’m slowly adjusting. If you guys are new to reading the blog, my workplace recently cut pharmacist hours and now almost all pharmacists are working alone open to close. It’s brutal to say the least. I was trying to push blog posts before bed, and first thing in the morning in between shifts, and it just honestly wore me out. I want so much for this blog to be a full-time part of my life (you know…. to replace some income so I’m not working these crazy shifts all the time 😜), but between fighting the social media algorithm and trying to stay sane, my body finally told me it’s time to rest. I honestly thought for a couple days it might be time to sunset the blog. Needless to say, rest is a wonderful thing, and I’m excited to get back into posting, just maybe not on 12 hour work days. 😋

Today I thought I’d share a few #ootd photos, literally spaced out from the last 2 weeks ha! Florida cooled off a couple weeks ago at night and breezy warm during the day, but then temps slowly started creeping up again, so these aren’t exactly ‘fall outfits’, but I have a feeling I won’t be in true fall fashion until November. #someday Lol.

And please disregard photo #4… you might notice my phone changed! Say hello to the iPhone 11 Pro! My old phone was the original iPhone X from 2 years ago, so I was excited for the change! However, I have no idea how to work the photos properly and new editing tools. They are the same as the old phone… and not the same… Lol. User error apparently.

Flatlay: Ruffle Cuff Sweater

Fell in love with this beautiful ruffle cuff sweater the instant I saw it in store! Last year, the trend was larger bell sleeve cuffs, which were pretty awesome in detail – but I quickly learned they were useless at work… and also if you are eating… LOL. The smaller, shorter, cuffs are way better and easier to wear! I paired the sweater here with a white denim skirt from summer (keeping it real down here in Florida ha!), but the outfit ideas are endless here. The blue color is gorgeous. I have my eye on this faux suede skirt for “fall” when it gets here! I think the blues will match beautifully!

Flatlay: The New Leopard

This year’s most popular leopard print has a darker cognac hue mixed in with a larger spotted pattern. I love all leopard equally, so I’m welcoming this with open arms! 😄 I found an affordable version at Target below (ok, let’s be real… I buy their leopard sweater every season whether or not it’s changed from the previous year, ha!) and it fits in with the new trend perfectly! I pulled out my rust mules from last year for the fall season, but cognac booties would pair even better.

Flatlay: Burgundy Booties

I just received these booties in the mail the other day, and couldn’t wait to share! I’ve wanted a pair of burgundy booties for awhile, and passed them up last fall. This year I wasn’t going to let them pass me by! These same booties actually come in 9 color options total, and the style itself is pretty awesome – I love how unique they are! I do recommend going down 1/2 size. I ordered my regular size, and although they do fit, I feel like they are a tad loose in the heel. I added an insert to the bottom which did fix the issue, but who wants to do that if you don’t have to, right?

Flatlay: 50 Shades

Ha – ok, not really 50 shades, but for such a neutral outfit I did pick quite a few shades of gray/white/off-white! Every year I invest in at least 2-3 new flannel shirts. It’s definitely my favorite type of shirt to wear down south, especially since it’s so easy to dress up under a skirt for work (for a preppy, more casual but still put-together look), and can also throw it on with jeans (or shorts ha!) for weekend style. My favorite options are from Old Navy (here) and J.Crew Factory (here). And if I still lived  up north, you know that bad boy would be layered under a comfy sweater and vest! 😁

Also- I’ve seen the conversation brought up recently about “white jeans after Labor Day?”… YES! always yes! That is an outdated, circa 1965 rule that you can throw out that door! And stomp on it and bring out your favorite white denim. Just instead of pairing with a linen top and sandals, go for an open toed bootie and lightweight sweater.

Style Under $50: Time and Tru

Happy Saturday friends! For today’s post, I wanted to share a little something different. If I post on weekends, it’s usually regarding sales or new arrivals. Instead of a ‘Saturday Sales’ post, I thought I would share some new arrivals under $50! Most of you know my big girl job is a pharmacist for a retail company, however I’ve never really talked about who I work for. Maybe for privacy purposes, or job protection, but I have nothing to hide and think you should know – I’ve worked for Walmart Pharmacy for the past (almost) 9 years. And the reason I feel like that’s important to share is I’ve been pretty impressed with their new line of clothes lately.

Recently, Walmart re-branded their clothing lines in order to compete with the likes of Target and Amazon and created the women’s line called Time and Tru. I’ve noticed many of the bigger bloggers collaborate with Walmart to spread the word and share their new line, but it wasn’t until I noticed in store some of their new arrivals that my attention was peaked. I was actually running an event in the middle of the store (for the pharmacy), and since we stand out and talk to customers for several hours in the middle of the store, I couldn’t help but notice all the clothes staring at me for hours on end. ☺️

I put together a post of some of their newest fall arrivals to share what I’m talking about! I mean, c’mon – would you expect the visual I created below to be from Walmart?! I’m pretty impressed! And the shoes – most are under $20 – and those white sneakers with the leopard detail are now on my wish list! Most items come in multiple color options also!
