Today Target released another limited edition collection. Instead of pink flamingos by Lilly Pulitzer, we have all things plaid (oy!) by Adam Lippes. Both warm this girls heart. You can view Target’s lookbook here. I definitely picked out a few favorites from the lookbook before I shopped online this morning. If you get a chance to shop in store, I highly recommend it. I wasn’t quite sure on sizing with these pieces. I ordered my normal size, but some of the items look like they fit oversized.

I almost feel a little Christmas-y wearing this outfit, but I saw this skirt in store with a similar color scheme and it was too good to pass up! Burgundy, wine, garnet, crimson — there are a thousand synonyms for this red color, but either way it’s by far my favorite this time of year. I swear I do wear pants to work, even though it may not seem like it! Making a mental note to include some pant outfit on the blog that aren’t jeans in the near future. 🙂
Yay for the time of year where plaid shirts are acceptable and go with just about anything! Although it’s still really hot and humid down in south Florida during the day, we’ve had a lot of rainy evenings that turn breezy and cooler (what I consider cooler… low 70s lol) and require either jeans or a long sleeve shirt. My go-to long sleeve shirt is definitely a plaid or gingham button down. I probably own too many, but you can never have too much of a good thing….. right? 🙂
Guess what? It’s September 1st… which in my world (camp Kecia…), all things fall are allowed to be worn. 🙂 I’m going to kick it off with this mustard pencil skirt, one of my favorite fall-like colors. Also, Nordstrom recently marked down a ton of great items up to 50% off! Some items I’ve had stuck in my “wish list” are below. Hope you all are having a great week!
Free People is one of those brands I’ve heard about for years, but back in the midwest I never lived close enough to a store that carried their products to truly appreciate the obsession. Lucky for me we have one here in Sarasota. 🙂 And I’m slightly crazy for their tees! This one is oversized and so soft and comfy! They are a little pricey, so I recommend waiting for a sale. Nordstrom carries the brand and so does Macy’s. Macy’s tends to have great deals online, so I waited for a sale + online promo before I ordered. I’m dying to buy more colors and also try their “757” tee which has also gotten great reviews. All of their tees and tanks come in tons of colors as well.
With all the ‘Friends & Family’ sales this past week, I stocked up on some work horses that were missing in my closet. Since moving to Florida I’ve downsized most of pant collection. I kept my favorites and basic colors that will be used this winter. I have quite a few spring/summer colored pencil skirts in my closet, but was looking forward to stocking up on darker basic colors that I don’t own. That included this camel toned pencil skirt.
It’s usually hit or miss with me at The Limited. Sometimes I feel like the quality and fit of their clothes are spot on and other times I have to return everything I ordered online because of the awkward fit (could just be my body type?). Thankfully I’ve fallen in love with their pencil skirts. Their skirts aren’t stiff like other brands and very comfortable to wear throughout the day. Since I’m standing most of the day at work I don’t normally feel constricted in a pencil skirt, but a stretchy and comfortable material while walking around is a must!
Hello all! I hope you had a good weekend. Today was full of relaxation after a long 12 hour work shift yesterday. Not going to complain since it pays the bills, but I was happy to lay by the pool and take multiple naps today. 🙂 Here is a little Instagram re-cap over the past week. Here is to hoping I can sneak some more blog posts in this week (I’m starting to sound like a broken record lol).
