Denim Leggings + Chambray

This sweater (worn previously here) is oh so cozy!  Today is also a “denim on denim” Instagram challenge I’m completing and although I’m not a huge fan of wearing a denim shirt with blue jeans — chambray + denim leggings = perfect!  It’s also freezing here (literally… Antarctica, I swear) and the extra layers are much needed.

Olive

Olive (or moss) is one of those colors that I tend to pair with tried and true colors combos. Today is no different – olive + navy + gray.  Easy peasy.  Especially when it’s 6 am and you are staring at your closet with “nothing to wear.”  (Why does that happen so often?)

Good news is it’s Wednesday!  Meaning half the week is almost over and the weekend is upon us (I work Saturday, so I’m anxious for Sunday. 🙂 )

Soft Cozy Cardigan

My Sunday wish list from a few days ago featured a “cocoon” cardigan from Target. Welllll, I definetely went and picked one up and I gotta say – I love it!  I don’t really own too many longer boyfriend-type cardigans, nor ones that are open front, so I was really excited to incorporate this one into my closet.

I’ve been a long time fan of Target clothing.  A) it’s affordable B) Cartwheel deals make you feel like you’re getting a really good deal C) clearance is amazing! D) shipping is free + 5% discount with your Red Card… I could go on and on. 🙂  BUT, as with all clothing stores (especially cheaper ones), you have to watch out for quality.  Sometimes you win, sometimes you don’t.  I’ve honestly been pleasantly surprised with almost all of the items I’ve purchased from Target. Their sweaters seem to hold shape well and I’ve never had anything fall apart in the wash.
I haven’t washed this sweater yet, but it’s so soft and cozy!  And it comes in 8 different colors!  I have my eye on the coral/orangey one also. 🙂

Neutrals

Today’s outfit was about incorporating a color palette of neutrals together.  It’s felt refreshing to get away from bold and dark colors.  I didn’t really add any jewelry, other than the small set of bangle bracelets I have on, due to the lace on my shirt — I’m not much one for the extremes. 🙂

I apologize (not really) in advance because you might be seeing this handbag like, everyday, for awhile! My husband surprised me with this for Valentine’s Day.  It’s my first Kate Spade handbag (whaaattt?! I know!) and I’m going to cherish it for a looong time!  I still love my Target bags though – rest assured!  This might have started a bad habit though on his part (again, not sorry :D).

What I Wish I Was Wearing #4

Target just released their spring line this past week with some really cute items!  I already picked up a few things that I will hopefully be able to show on the blog soon (tomorrow is a high of 2 – not 20 – 2! ugh!)

I’m waiting to check out these shorts and these flats.  I put together a Polyvore set for an example of how to style them both.  My husband bought me the same handbag in a different color and surprised me this morning for Valentine’s Day — I’m in love! <3

Tomato Red

As I stated in my last post – loving this “tomato red” color this season!  This blouse from Loft comes in 5 different colors including the color I have on today. It’s a lightweight material, but paired with this scarf I was very comfortable all day.

I do have to say though — I’m over this dry, cold weather!  As much as I love this blouse, and shirts with similar material, my hair starts begins to look like it was stuck in a socket half the day from the dryness.  Lotion anyone?

A ‘Love Tee’ and Fun Necklace

Happy Wednesday before Valentines Day ya’ll!

I’m not a huge fan of all the dorky stuff that comes with Valentines Day…. the flowers (I mean, I won’t turn them away), the candy, corny sayings, etc.  But, if I can wear a fun outfit to work then count me in!

This is the first time I’ve gotten to wear this necklace. It’s a lot of fun and I’m loving the “tomato red” color this season!  I have a fun top and scarf in the same color I’m waiting to style later this week.  Sooo, stay tuned! 🙂

Floral & Pink

I love floral patterns this time of year.  This one is dark enough that it still feels “winter”, but the pink color screams spring!  Just in time for another winter weather advisory aka…. more of that white stuff.

I’ve been casually shopping around for some floral flats to wear to work this spring as well. So far no luck on cute ones….. but keeping my eye open. 🙂

What I Wish I Was Wearing #3

Today’s edition of “what I wish I was wearing” is coming to you via a Polyvore creation. That’s how this week has been going. Ugh.  I should hopefully (keyword: hopefully) be able to resume normal blogging on Monday.

I picked this cute summer dress out because I purchased it several weeks ago and couldn’t wait to post it (even if it’s a virtual image!).  I’m excited to pair it with a cardigan like the one in the picture (which is also on my wish list), and of course all gold accessories (even the sandals!)
