Olive & Mustard:

Who stops wearing white after Labor Day? I know it’s been in-grained into our heads since we were kids. I tend to wear more white in the summer also just because when Labor Day hits I’m full force fall colors and there is no stopping me from wearing those moody goods! 🙂 However, I still love pairing white with dark colors as well. I could easily wear this same outfit in the fall with a long cardigan sweater over top or lightweight scarf. And who are we kidding, I could do that today because I’m always freezing even though Florida is a fireball. 😝

One of my favorite basic linen tanks from this past season! It comes in a ton of colors and super easy to dress up or down (I’ve worn to work with chinos and cardigan). It’s currently on sale + an extra 50% off!

Pre-Fall Shoe Roundup

The most exciting thing for me when the seasons change are the change in accessories!  Since Florida doesn’t normally start to cool down in the mornings/evenings til mid-September and sometimes into October, I get to mostly enjoy fall accessories like shoes and scarves (air conditioning = removable layers!), but definitely miss out on the jackets and vests until later in the year (those are winter gear for us haha).

Here is my pre-fall shoe roundup! I’m holding off on booties this year until it truly starts to cool down. However I couldn’t pass up on these short booties that I can wear now and later ~ they are super comfy and have the cutest gold detail. I purchased my normal size in all shoes. Every pair comes in multiple colors and/or prints. I love all of the studded detail this year!

Weekend #ootd:

Hi friends! I’ve been pretty MIA lately, but I’m feeling refreshed after taking a little time away from social media. I put together quite a few flat lays this weekend and can’t wait to share some fun new items this week! I’ve been freezing at work with the air conditioning – the girls I work with are in their late 40s/early 50s and get all the hot flashes – and keep the air at 69 degrees! My fingers literally go numb haha! However it gives me all the excuses to shop pre-fall sweaters and scarfs in this sticky Florida summer!  😆 However, today I was in typical summer uniform and wore these crazy comfy linen shorts.

Sweater Tank

With the air conditioning still pumping down here in Florida, I love to find tops that are a little heavier then normal, but not so thick I get too warm. This sweater tank is just that! It’s only one layer (the floral hem is only sewed in at the bottom to give a layered effect) and a tight enough knit I can just wear a nude bra underneath. I’m hoping this top keeps me comfortable at work (although I usually end up with a sweater on top and I’m still cold lol!). I purchased my normal size in petites, but I think regular sizing would work also. It worked fine on my 5’2″ frame, but a little length could have given it a more tunic-like look.

These mules are my first pair of shoes from LOFT. I’ve seen reviews by a couple other bloggers that love Ann Taylor shoes (LOFT’s sister store) and I thought I’d give them a shot. I’m pretty impressed! I would only purchase them for a discount (I got these 40% off), but I would rate them nicer than Old Navy shoes of course, a little nicer than Target, but not quite as nice as department brands like Vince Camuto. A good in between shoe that is well worth around a $40-$50 price point. I wore them all over the house while they were still new and they passed the comfort test! I purchased my normal size.
