Flatlay: NSale Picks

Hi friends! Well, I have two (lol) items to share with you from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I fully intended to style these mules and sweater with the Wit & Wisdom denim I ordered from the sale, but alas I’m not even sure they’ve shipped yet! I’ve only received the sweater and mules shown, and also the Caslon blazer jacket ~ which I can tell you I LOVE and definitely want in more colors! Hopefully everything else will come later this week and I can do a full review and try-on blog post.

Well, I can tell you I love both items shown below from the sale. The first item are the Remi mules from Madewell. They come in a few color options, and actually aren’t a new item. I passed them up last year and regretted it, so I was happy to purchase them this year and have zero regrets! They are comfortable and fit TTS. Target carries a very close dupe for $25 also which has almost 70 five star reviews! I like the style of the Madewell brand a little better (notice the sides do not come up as far as the Target version). I think this cheetah print is going to be popular this fall, so I highly recommend picking up a pair (from either store) to go with all the fall colors!

The second item I purchased is the BP ‘easy drop shoulder’ sweater. It’s priced at $25 and comes in 5 color options. I was drawn to the rust color for fall, and it pairs perfectly with these mules. Now, this sweater has some mixed reviews. The positive reviews are it’s lightweight (I see you Floridians!), a slight cropped length (perfect for a front tuck and on trend), and very soft fabric. However, the negative reviews say it’s too lightweight, too short (one person said it wasn’t short enough LOL), and see-through (perhaps the white color?), but honestly I’m very familiar with the BP brand from Nordstrom and expected the lightweight and soft fabric. They release a version every year of this sweater and it’s always the top of my list because it’s perfect for Florida. So, I’d say it’s worth a shot for free shipping and free returns because I love it! Yes, it’s a basic sweater (that was another negative review haha), but it’s a great basic!
