Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2024

One of my favorite sales of the year kicks off this week if you are a cardholder (open to everyone July 15th) and I’m always a big fan! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the sale where you can pick out better quality, fall friendly items at a discount. There are definitely some splurge items always included and of course basics, but I usually stick with my go-to favorite brands. I have NSale items in my closet that are still going strong from 10 years ago! My favorites from the sale are always Nordstrom house brand items (Caslon, Halogen, Treasure & Bond, BP, and Zella) for tops/sweaters, Wit & Wisdom/Kut from the Kloth for jeans, and Sam Edelman/Vince Camuto for shoes. The last few years I’ve not found the best selection for jewelry and shoes, but I’ll share my favorites below! I’ve added a smattering of items to my ‘wish list’ and created a few outfits below using items from the sale – both splurge and more budget friendly items!

striped cardigan sweater:

The sweater below is by Caslon and comes in 4 color ways – I was drawn to the brown/white stripe as I don’t own anything in my closet similar and think it will be perfect for fall! The New Balance sneakers below have been very popular the last year and I have a feeling those will sell out very quickly. The jeans are Good American and a little splurgy, but I love the detail on the raw/step hem – they’ll look awesome with jeans or flats!

denim dress:

The booties shown below are my favorite I’ve found in the NSale. They are Vince Camuto and very similar to years past. Since skinny jeans/booties are kind of “so last year” lol, I was looking for clothing pieces in order to style them. I came across the Steve Madden dress below and love the detail! Will look great for fall.

roll neck sweater:

The roll neck sweater below might be my top pick in the whole sale! Another Caslon item, I just love the sporty stripe detail. There are 4 color ways to choose from! I tend to be drawn toward anything I can wear with sneakers these days, throw on a little jewelry, and feel put together. I think this sweater dresses up the outfit just a teeny bit to give off that ‘casual cool’ vibe. I chose a pair of Dolce Vita sneakers below that are also included in the NSale. The “Zina” sneaker is my favorite from the brand – I have several options in my closet. I’m not sure I’ll bring these home as I have a pair of Target sneakers already in my closet similar to these, but if you are on the hunt from a low top white sneaker, I highly recommend this style!

casual joggers:

I paired the New Balance sneakers shown above with these Caslon joggers – another casual outfit look. The gray sweater is on my ‘splurge’ list. The brand is Barefoot Dreams and I have 2 of their “circle hem” cardigans from past years. Seriously they are the softest, most comfy thing in my closet. I throw one on every morning, they are the best during the cooler fall/spring months (and you’ll wear it all day in the winter). If you were to splurge on one item – that would be my top pick!

sweater vest:

Who’s here for all the 90s comebacks? I personally love the sweater vest look. You can pair it by itself this summer/early fall with shorts and wear it over a similar blouse or even a long sleeve tee this fall. I love the way it looks with bootcut jeans/booties also.

splurge items:

I already shared the Barefoot dreams cardigan above. Also shown below are a pair of Nike sneakers. I have these same sneakers in a fun summer color and they are awesome! I paid full price for mine, so the sale price is pretty good (even though still a splurge for everyday sneakers). The Sorel boots are actually a decent price point for what they are and perfect if you live in a snowy climate. The earrings are Kendra Scott – not too pricy – but of course great quality! The jeans are premium denim from Rag & Bone – they look pretty stylish and would look great this fall with sneakers or boots. The graphic sweater is by Faherty. I’ve never purchased from this brand before, but they are sure are having a moment and very popular! Love the graphic print. Lastly, the striped sweater below is from Madewell. Undoubtedly great quality, but more than I would spend normally on an everyday sweater.
