I’m baaaaack!
Hi friends! My goodness, it’s been so long! If you don’t follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you probably have no idea what happened to my blog. After the pandemic started, I clung onto my blog as long as I could, but between the stress of all the unknown about the virus, combined with worry over my own job, and of course worry for everyone and everything else – I decided not to resume blogging in April (this was when my payment was due to renew my website subscription).
However, I truly miss blogging. I miss the babble and talk and a space where I can actually write about why I like/dislike certain styles and trends. Instagram and Facebook are hard places to really put your thoughts into words. You can write too little and also write too much – I need this little space of mine!
The downside? I’m a dummy. I had no idea that when I cancelled my blog renewal subscription everything was deleted. I figured somehow things would be stored in the interweb somewhere and I would just pay for my subscription again and it would all be there! Well, that’s a negative. It’s all gone. Ugh. 3 years of content down the drain.
So, here we are. Pearls & Ponies is back! But, as a fresh space with zero content. Since I use a specific affiliate link company for my social media content, I will still be able to link back a ‘widget’ of sorts for you guys to look at thumbnails of all of my old content if you desire. But actual post content is long gone.
My plans for the blog are pretty much the same as they’ve always been! I’ve continued to take pictures over on Instagram and Facebook, so if you follow along there, it will generally be the same but with roundup weekly posts reserved for the blog, and I would like to get back to taking outdoor photos as well.
Something new I plan on posting are book reviews! I’ve always read throughout the year, but since Covid started I’ve read sooo much more – sometimes a book per week! And thanks to book clubs like Reese Witherspoon’s, I’m reading a lot of new authors and genres that I would love to share with you!
If you have any recommendations of style content you would like to see on the blog, please let me know! Right now the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is in full force and I know one blog post coming up will be a review on my purchases as soon as they are shipped!
And as always, thank you so much for returning to my blog if you have been a long time reader (especially since the Her Dailey Style days!).
