Flatlay Friday, Vol. 3

Happy Friday everyone! I’m sharing another Flatlay Friday here on the blog heading into another weekend! I hope you all have fun weekends plans ahead!

Today is my husband’s birthday, so we got up early and took the dogs to our local state park for a little hiking. We were a little shocked when we stopped to pay at the gate – all of the trails were closed for a ‘hog hunt’! Ack… say what?! I guess because the pig population in Florida has gotten so overgrown, they easily destroy vegetation for other animals and are a nuisance of sorts, so they trap and kill them. Ugh. Just like with the deer up north, I get it, but doesn’t mean I like it.

We still put in a few miles of walking on the main road. Saw lots of deer, birds, alligators, and actually one pig running across the road (probably to freedom lol). Not exactly how we planned it out, but on a normal day I highly recommend visiting this park if you are ever in the Sarasota area! It’s called Myakka State Park and located about 10 minutes off I-75.

I also have enjoyed the J.Crew sales going on today! The regular J.Crew is 50% full-price styles and an extra 60% sale items! I ordered this leopard ruffle sleeve top and waffle crewneck pullover in the pretty pink color!

J.Crew Factory also has 50% off new arrivals + an extra 20% off with code “SOEXTRA” ~ I ordered this buffalo check skirt, foil clip dot top, and holiday plaid ruffle top.

Now onto the flatlays from this week!

Floral ruffle blouse:

This cute blouse is a new arrival from Ann Taylor and has such a pretty mix of the popular fall colors this year. I paired it with a dark wash jean, but it would also go well with a vibrant blue light wash also. I took my regular petite sizing in this top.

Lantern sleeve sweater:

This sweater is an Amazon find and I love the texture detail! It comes in 5 color options and fits TTS. It’s a pretty warm knit, non-itchy, and easily tucks into a skirt or denim.

Mock-neck sweater:

This pretty sweater is almost sold out. It’s a Nordstrom house brand find, from their BP line, and only has a couple of color options and sizing left. Wait for re-stocks though – they do happen! It’s a cropped length (however fits more normally on my short frame) and perfect with high-waisted denim. I adore this mint green color also! I’m always a fan of color refreshes during the holidays and seasonal changes when we get hooked on the trendy stuff like rust, leopard, and darker hues. If you like the color, but not the style, check out this sweater from Banana ~ it’s a v-neck style in a similar color to this mint green.

Sweater + Skirt:

My sweater and skirt are both from LOFT and 50% off! Both fit TTS and I love how well these pair together. The skirt is also a cropped length, but looks amazing as a front tuck into the skirt. I really love this pairing.
