Wish List, Vol. 1
Hi friends! I thought I would kick of my first ‘blog’ post with a classic Wish List post like old times! I always like to take things easy on the weekends when it comes to blogging – my husband and I don’t get a lot of work days off together (quick fact… we are both pill pushers, I mean pharmacists! ha!), so weekends are usually (well, pre-Covid) doing something fun together. I can’t wait for the weather to finally cool down in Florida this fall (at least in the mornings), since we love to take our 2 dogs hiking to the various state parks. Anyway, so weekend posts I like to usually compile sale posts and a weekly wish list!
Multiple times a week I like to cruise my favorite retailer websites and add new arrivals to my cart. However, they usually sit there in my cart until a good sale hits, before I purchase! These were the items that caught my eye this week!
zebra sweater – I adore short sleeve or 3/4 length sweaters in the fall. Since the air conditioning runs full blast at my work, restaurants, etc. seems all year long – businesses are always freezing in Florida. And I can easily get away with a non-wool sweater. And so easy to layer under a jacket if you’re up north! I love this zebra print! … I’ve seen quite a bit of it lately pop up… perhaps will be more popular then leopard this year?
striped shift skirt – This skirt may be a tad too summery for some of you, but for us Florida gals I love a good shift skirt for work! Since I have to wear a white coat at work, bulky blouses or sweaters are not the best, so I tend to lean toward skirts I can tuck a top/sweater into – and shift skirts work really well for that.
henley sweatshirt – Since I haven’t had a blog the last 6 months, I’ve missed out on posting about trends! Well, anything with a drawstring is really popular right now. You might have noticed a lot of comfy shorts seem to have a drawstring or rope type knot. And now of course we find our sweatshirts for Fall 2020 with them as well! I love that this sweatshirt is a step up from your regular pullover, and it comes in quite a few color options also!
satin shirt – This top is super pretty! I love the satin look, small ruffles, and will look beautiful for work. I like tops and blouses that work with both jeans, pants, and skirts (I can wear pretty much anything to work except pajamas lol, and love the mix). This one could easily tuck in to just about anything and easily layered under a nice cardigan. It comes in several color options, but I was drawn to this ‘green pine’ color for fall.
open toe booties – Love all the booties for fall! And especially from Target! These $35 booties are definitely at the top of my wish list. I have a similar pair from last year with the cognac color and perforations, but they have the notches on the sides and somehow don’t fit my foot very well. I’m excited to try these with the buckle and normal bootie style up the ankle to see if they fit better.
Happy Weekend!! -xoxo, Kecia
