Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! We are still on track to close on our new home May 28th and expected to move out of this apartment sometime early June. While we’ve had an overall good experience so far, I’m ready for our own space (not to mention more space ha!)… and peace & quiet. The neighbors above us have 2 little kids and I’m fairly certain they play fetch with them LOL! No joke… the kids run back and forth for hours on end and leap onto the floor. I’ve sent one complaint already to the front office, but I’m not sure they can do much since they are quiet during the nighttime hours. Thankfully our dogs have adjusted and don’t seem bothered by the noises any longer. If any of you have a dog afraid of thunderstorms… move into an apartment with hard floors and live on the ground floor… desensitization at it’s best ha!

Ahh, anyway. Apartment living. I feel like I’m back in college. I go back to work next week also. I took an extended vacation assuming we were going to close on the new house in April. Since the house was delayed, I kept my vacation as I wasn’t sure how the dogs would settle. They are doing very well though, so back to work I go next week. I’m honestly a little nervous. I’m going to be a ‘traveling’ pharmacist for our market. We call them ‘floaters’ since we move from store to store. Basically I’ll be filling in for pharmacists on vacations, LOAs, etc. Positively, I’ll have less responsibility and just have to ‘keep the store’ running while I’m there. Kind of like a substitute teacher. Negatively, it’s sometimes hard to adjust to different stores that operate ‘on their own terms’ and don’t respect each individual pharmacist. I’ve floated on an off my entire career, so I’m used to it, but since we moved to an entirely different market and area, I’m definitely nervous. Trying to keep my mind open and not be nervous. I’ve been in this business for over 15 years, but I think with any new job you hate being the ‘newbie’ lol!

However, you know what makes me happy and keeps me confident? … my outfit! Ha! So I threw on sandals with my outfit below, but I will definitely wear this same look to work but with sneakers or flats. I’ve definitely become a lover of the slim/straight jean trend! My newest favorite are the high rise cigarette jeans from GAP. I have 2 pairs now and more on my wish list!

I also like the ‘cardigan as a shirt’ trend as well. The cardigan below I’m wearing in my normal size small, but it’s stretchy enough to easily button up and wear like a shirt. Sometimes cardigans can fit tightly IMO and not easy to button unless you size up. This one also has a good v-neck and doesn’t reveal too much!
