J.Crew Factory New Arrivals

Hi everyone! You know, just making my random appearance on the blog as of recent ha! I’ve actually quite missed this space. I think I say that every time I take a step away, I know! I honestly really miss blogs of old. The whole Tik Tok, Reels, etc have ruined it for me. I’ve started saving real blogs again on my computer and tend to use the Like.toknow.it app more and more often since I know I’ll be able to look at static photos of my favorite bloggers. Don’t get me wrong… I fall down the Tik Tok rabbit hole a few times per week! …but for fun dancing videos or puppies doing funny things lol. Not for fashion. It just really doesn’t make sense. Or maybe it’s just showing my age. 🙂

My husband took a new job a few months ago where he works nights through the week and now that I work from home, I really want to get back to posting more often. Things are a little different these days with the economy and my WFH wardrobe isn’t very fashionista-ish but I think I can come up with a good mix of posts like today and everyday outfit shares. I would like to try anyway! ….So let’s go!

J.Crew Factory dropped their new arrivals for this month and they are pretty darn good. Lots of dresses and skirts and tanks to combat this hot, hot weather! Too good not to share. 🙂

Let’s start with their 4th of July drop – so much red, white, and blue goodness! My husband and I are headed to the beach next weekend for lunch and I’m thinking I need to order one of these dresses!

Below are a few items I have in my cart! Like I said, so many factors contribute to not buying as many clothes as of late combined with trying to be more mindful of spending, but J. Crew and LOFT are the 2 stores that will always have my heart and I tend to place an order still every couple of weeks. Below are my favorite items from the new release!

Ruffle–neck top:

I have this same top in a marigold color from a couple years and it’s still a closet favorite! This teal blue color is gorgeous and will wear well this summer and into fall under a cardigan with jeans/booties.

Embroidered dress:

I ordered this dress already – It has that comfy look of being lightweight and perfect for summer! I’ll update on sizing – dresses are hard for me as I wear a small on top and medium on bottom. I think I went with a size 6 (my normal bottom size), but sometimes with the flowy dresses it ends up being too big…. TBD! Either way, love the embroidered detail and babydoll waist!

Smocked waist skirt:

These skirts from various brands have been my favorite this year! I feel best at work (even though I WFH) if I’m dressed for the day and with the heat lately I always grab a skirt or lightweight dress. These skirts are so easy to wear with a nicer top, t-shirt, and throw on with dressier sandals or even flip flops. I love that I can wear them throughout the week for various occasions. These skirts fit TTS and I ordered both colors!

Gingham romper:

Another item on my wish list – I love the preppy vibes of this romper. Reminds me of an affordable version of Draper James! I’m not sure on sizing – again not sure if I need to size up or down. I was waiting on some reviews to come through. Either way, love the belted detail and cuffed sleeves. Throw a jean jacket and sneakers on and you’re ready for a summer cookout or picnic!
