LOFT Casual Holiday Outfits + Spanx leggings

Happy Tuesday! Is it Tuesday? I’m not even sure – holidays that fall in the middle of the week (e.g. Thanksgiving on Thursday) always throw me off! I had 5 days off in a row from work which was blissful, but my week is now confused. Anyway, I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend! If anyone was brave enough to challenge Black Friday this year (I watched the news…. I’m glad I stayed away!), I salute you! Our local outlet mall located about 20 minutes from where I live was on the local news for Black Friday – I guess there was so much traffic no one could get out of the parking lot! Cars were stranded 3-4 hours, people running out of gas, deserting their cars… so much craziness! That outlet mall is wild on a regular weekend with the construction traffic as is, so I can’t even imagine how bad it was Black Friday! I stayed in my pajamas and shopped online. 🙂

Today I wanted to share a couple of casual holiday outfits featuring a few items from LOFT, both styled with Spanx faux leather leggings. I’ve been looking for holiday specific items that are tunic length and leggings friendly. We’ve had quite a bit of rain this winter season in Florida (usually this is our ‘dry’ season), so I picked up a couple pairs of chunky rain-friendly boots that will pair well with leggings or jeans.

Scottie-dog tee + Tunic plaid shirt:

I can’t say no to a good graphic tee, especially ones with cute dogs on the front! My plaid shirt is tunic length, slightly oversized, and great to wear with leggings. My exact boots are almost sold out, but I will link the exact pair and similar versions below. Also, I’ll link my socks from Target – they are an ankle version and fantastic to wear with leggings! They are athletic socks, so I actually use them in the winter to pair with my workout leggings as well so my ankles don’t get cold walking the dogs outside!

Sizing: I’m wearing a size small in both the t-shirt and plaid tunic. I would say both fit TTS. I sized up in the leggings and I’m wearing a large-petite.

Striped tunic sweater:

My striped sweater is a great mix of holiday red and neutral colors. Easy to pair with both leggings and jeans. I could easily throw this sweater on with skinny jeans and a slimmer ankle bootie if I wanted to dress this look up. My boots are almost sold out, so I’ll link similar options below.

Sizing: I’m wearing a size petite-small in the sweater. I do regret ordering my petite size as I feel like a little extra room in a regular small or even petite-medium would pair better with the leggings. If you are in between sizes, I would go up one size for that perfect slightly oversized fit.

If you are always on the lookout for what’s up next in new arrivals, I always check out LOFT’s “sneak preview” section on their website. Today I noticed they released a ton of new Valentine’s Day inspired items and also spring colored new arrivals! Probably not very exciting unless you live in Florida or taking a spring break trip somewhere warm, but worth mentioning anyway. 🙂 #dontshootthemessenger
