Old Navy ~ Spring Dresses
Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! I had the last few days off work and was able to just relax and catch up on the blog, and also on my little side thrifting business. I recently cleaned out my closet and overly purged a ton of items in lieu of our upcoming move, but really only created what I refer to as a ‘death pile’ of things to list and sell – ack! Thankfully I was able to get through about 90% of it and will finish it up later this week.
I don’t really have any updates on our move either. We are *supposed* to close on our current home this Friday (and then we are renting it back for 45 days). We haven’t heard either way if the closing company is ready, or if that will be delayed. Our new home was delayed due to a backorder on air conditioning (somehow comical in Florida lol). All mechanical stuff was finally finished last week and passed inspection, so now onto the insulation/drywall stage. Since this has pushed our closing back on the new house about 3 weeks, unfortunately we are looking at renting a home in the Tampa area for about 4-6 weeks. Not at all what I was expecting, I knew we were going to be looking at renting 1-2 weeks, but now we are looking at more than an AirBnb/hotel type stay. Since we have our 2 dogs, we will unfortunately have to find a monthly rental and probably just move our furniture from one home to the next. I’m not looking forward to moving twice, but I know it happens! Deep breath. Lol.
So now onto the blog post! I wanted to share a couple of dresses I found at Old Navy recently. Perfect for summer and also spring break! Old Navy is one of those places you can find a lot of ‘misses’…. and also find a few gems! I would consider these dresses gems.
First up, this sleeveless midi dress. Featuring a tie-neck and a tiered layering look which is so popular this spring. The color is a form of tie-dye, which is also on trend. I’m wearing a size medium-petite, which is my regular size. I would say this dress fits slightly large, but I always worry about shrinkage with ON items, so I’m keeping this size. Incredibly comfy, and very pretty! Layer with a white jean jacket for extra detail. It also has pockets!
My second dress find is this smocked midi dress. The straps are a spaghetti strap and are adjustable. The smocked portion on top is fitted. Also has pockets! I’m wearing a size medium-petite in this dress as well. I would say the fit is slightly on the small size through the waist/top portion. Not enough to exchange sizing, but if you are busty like I am, consider your top size and not pant/dress size. Overall, I really like this dress. Definitely a keeper. Both dresses are the perfect ‘eating brunch/lunch along the coast’ type dress!
Thank you for stopping by!
