Outfits Lately, Vol. 5
Hi everyone! I’d be lying if I said I’ve been getting dressed “up” everyday (aka jeans lol) – lately I’ve been living in leggings and sweatpants with the chilly weather (I WFH so it’s easy to embrace!). I snapped photos over the last few weeks on days I did get dressed and I wanted to share a few outfits below of new items I’ve picked up with all the fantastic sales lately! Sizing and availability in colors may be limited, but I have a feeling returns will start hitting the shelves soon after the holidays, combined with a refresh in inventory, and some of the items below will be great buys if they are on clearance + restocked!
*Sizing: I’m 5’2″ and normally wear an Small on top and 4/6 on bottom.
Outfit #1: I’ve been pining over the sweater below for awhile and so happy it finally went on sale! Same goes for the boots – both are a great addition for a winter wardrobe! Sweater and boots fit TTS. Jeans are an older wash of the GAP vintage slim – I size up in their jeans and I’m wearing a 29P.

Outfit #2: I was so happy to get a little dressed up for our barn Christmas party! (I’m a horse girl lol) Sweater fits TTS. I sized up to a 6 in the skirt since some reviews said these skirts run small. With the sweater and tights underneath the skirt, I was very comfortable with room to spare – if I was back in Florida and didn’t wear the tights, I’d like take a smaller size. Boots fit TTS – also great for winter weather and are waterproof!

Outfit #3: I’m all for cozy sweaters these days and I loved the bright turquoise color way – will be great for post-Christmas and spring since it will be cold in Indiana for a minute! Sweater is TTS. Jeans are older Kut from the Kloth – I’ll link same style in updated color below. I wear a size 6 in this brand. Sneakers are from Target and fit is TTS.

Outfit #4: Avara does it again! Another fun sweater that will be perfect for post-Holiday and carry right into spring. This fit is slightly cropped, so is best with high-waisted jeans. The sweater is currently sold out, but check back – I have a feeling a restock is coming! Fit is TTS. The sweater also comes in other coloring options! My jeans are Kut from the Kloth, I took my regular size 6 in this brand. Boot are older BP – I’ll link similar below.

Outfit #5: My ribbed sweater below was actually an NSale find! It’s a slightly heavier knit so I didn’t wear it much this fall, but it’s perfect for cooler weather! Sizes pop in and out constantly. Fit it TTS. It has stretch. The shoulders have the cutest button detail! My jeans are Wit & Wisdom. I sized down in these and I’m wearing a 4P, however I feel like I could have taken my regular size. After a few washes I feel like they fit a bit tighter than they did upon purchasing them. My exact mules and belt are older, but I’ll link similar below.

Outfit #6: My layered sweater I’ve had for years! I have it in the black/holiday plaid below and also a gray/red gingham for fall. It’s held up to washing over the years and still looks great! And it must be a good one, because J.Crew Factory keeps bringing it back. Sizing is limited, but there is a very similar option found here and here in the holiday plaid. Sizing is TTS. My jeans are from Express – I wear a size 6S (short inseam) in their jeans. Booties are old Steve Madden, I’ll link similar below!

Outfit #7: My pink sweater is from Amazon! I’ve also had this one in my closet for years. Several coloring options are available. I’m wearing my regular size small. My jeans are Pistola brand – I took a size 4/27 in these. Boots are from Target. It’s taken me a little to come around to the straight leg/boot trend, but I think I feel more and more comfortable as long as the fit is correct. I’ve found that it’s really important to make sure you pair the right jeans with the right booties. My jeans below are a little longer on me, so I found a higher shaft boot fit more appropriately. In some of the above pictures, I was able to wear a petite length jean that hits right at the top of the bootie. If the length is off by an inch or so, the look won’t be as clean with the jean hem getting caught in the top of the bootie. Skinny jeans will forever be in my heart, but I’m trying to be that cool 40-something year old! 🙂
Have a wonderful holiday week! 7 days friends – the countdown is on!
