Wish List, Vol. 21
Hi friends! It’s been a minute since I’ve posted a wish list on the blog. Honestly, I haven’t been shopping much (or blogging for that matter) lately. I’ve cruised right into the whole “I work from home and sweat pants are life” vibe – especially since it’s cold, it’s dark after 5 pm, and all the winter things surround me this time of year! BUT, I know it’s going to get better. February already looks warmer and better than January and I’m excited to freshen up my “cold spring” wardrobe – you know, since my Florida spring wardrobe = tank tops and shorts, here in Indiana I’m going to embrace the layers! We also booked a trip to south Georgia (actual) mid-spring so I’m excited to pick out a few new pieces to pack on the trip.
Below are a few items that have caught my eye this week!
woven mules – new arrival from Target! Only $25! These mules will likely come home with me soon, whether because of a sale or we actually warm up to ‘mule weather’ (lol). I love the classic buckle and square toe that feels preppy and modern. I wear mules a lot with jeans and a nice top in the spring/summer – it’s such a great look to feel put together, but also stay comfortable. Want to spend a little extra money on quality? Check out this version from Steve Madden – I actually had the SM mules on my wish list until Target released their option. I love them both, but love the $25 price point even better! 🙂
long sleeve dress – this dress has been available in several colors and prints for awhile, but living in Florida I’ve always avoided it because well, sleeves and Florida don’t mix lol. Here in Indiana, game on! I feel like this dress would be perfect for a casual wedding, date night, or a number of events this spring or early summer.
denim jacket – similar to the dress above, this jacket has been available for awhile. I have this at the top of my wish list for our upcoming vacation. The light wash is perfect for spring, but I also love the puff sleeve detail! Denim jackets are so versatile to pair over just about anything you have on. striped henley – I have this henley tee from last year in a beige/ivory colorway and I really like it, so I have the latest version on my wish list! Fit is TTS. There is also a striped green/ivory print as well.
cargo pants – yay or nay? I can’t decide, but I feel like I’m seeing myself through my high school years in these pants! Full disclosure? I also worked at Abercrombie & Fitch for a couple of years in college. I remember owning multiple versions of cargo pants that would get paired with a favorite graphic tee and flip flops. That was standard uniform lol. These pants come in several color options and petite/tall sizes. I like the apricot also!
I hope this list helps you pick out some new items for spring also without going overboard on a whole shopping spree – sometimes picking out just a few items here and there to pair with older items in your closet can really transform an outfit!
