Work Style: Colored Jeans

Happy Sunday! Had to think about that one! 😁 I drove back ‘home’ today (still consider Sarasota area home… going to take me awhile to change that lol!) out in the country to see my horses. While I don’t really ride or show horses anymore (it was a huge part of my life from like age 3 til college years), I still care for and own my 2 retired show mares. I thought about moving them closer to me up here in Tampa, but they are well cared for and thriving where they are so I’ve left them down south for now. It’s only a little over 1.5 hours from where we live currently, so I make it out to see them a few times a month. So between the drive and the heat, I’m always a little tired on ‘barn’ days ha!

I wanted to pop in and share a few new arrivals that had my eye recently! I’ve always been a huge fan of colored jeans for work – I don’t really wear professional dress anymore now that my workplace is casual dress, so jeans with a pop of color are a comfy way to feel a little dressed up. Express recently has started releasing more mid-rise jeans again, which makes me so happy! I’ve tried and tried to love their high rise jeans. Some fit me well, some really are so high in the rise I’m worried they might say hello my bra! 😆

So when they released a few colored mid-rise jeans in pre-fall colors, I was all over it! My favorite is this toffee color. Very on point with the neutral color scheme so popular right now. Will pair easily with black, navy, or grey this fall as well. I also ordered this light pink color which is a nice less bold color.

What do you think of the colored denim? Yay or nay? Who remembers how popular mint green jeans used to be in the spring?! I still have a pair!
