Express Style Finds, Vol. 1
Hi friends! Happy Labor Day! Wow, I’ve had a huge response (in a positive way!) to my style finds try-on sessions, so I’m going to try to continue them as much as I can! I know LOFT and J.Crew Factory seem to drop all of their new arrivals for the month at one time, so those will be easy for me at least to continue on a monthly basis since I usually place an order one time and then not again til the following month. Other stores it’s hit or miss. I actually realized I haven’t shared anything from Amazon for quite awhile also – I usually pass on a lot of their summer clothes due to quality – but their fall stuff is usually pretty awesome! That will be coming soon. 🙂
Today I wanted to share a few finds from Express. I actually quit buying from Express (except for their jeans – always loved their denim!) for awhile. Their clothes are usually very dressy or club-party like and just weren’t fitting in with my own closet. However, I think they are getting on board with the comfy/WFH trend and I think I might have ordered from them as much as I have other places recently! Also ~ everything is 40% off for Labor Day!
First up is this awesome ribbed colorblock sweater! Talk about comfy and soft! It’s perfectly oversized with dolman sleeves. There are 3 colorways available, but the grey was my fave! Fit is TTS. I’m wearing a size small. My jeans are also from Express – these are mid-rise. Fit is TTS. I’m wearing an 8S. I always size up in their jeans.
I’ve shared my tee a couple times on the blog/social media before, but is worth another share! I have this top in a couple of colorways. It’s soft and a loose material, but not in a baggy way. The sleeves are the best part. Several colors available. Fit is TTS. I’m wearing a size small. My jeans are also from Express. Same fit as the grey jeans.

Who here remembers how popular the portofino shirt was all those years ago?! Well, I’m here to tell you it’s still pretty awesome! I may not buy all the colors anymore and wear them with every outfit (lol), but if I see a fun print released I’m here for it! I love the fall hue in this paisley print and pairs really well with neutrals accessories.

This is another top that is making a repeat appearance on the blog! It sold out for awhile and is now back in several colorways! (and prints too!). The material is lightweight and perfect for a fall transition. I’ve worn this one to work a couple of times and it layers nicely under a boyfriend cardigan as well. Fit is TTS. I’m wearing a size small.
My jeans are another mid-rise fit, but these have a little something extra! They are a part of the Express ‘FlexX’ line ~ they are meant to fit several different sizes! Their waist is stretchy (kind of similar to the Wit & Wisdom jeans) and they don’t stretch out! I have 2 pairs that I’m excited to try out for my new WFH job. I’m a little leery of wearing jeans all day sitting down, so I’m hoping these are a nice alternative to wearing a dress or skirt everyday. I’m wearing a size Medium- short and would say they fit me TTS.

My top is another work-friendly option like the scallop top above. Made of a similar material and a great transition piece that is easily layered over top. The pleats on the shoulder are really cute also! 2 coloring options available. Fit is TTS. I’m wearing a size small.
My jeans are another pair of FlexX denim! Mid-rise fit. I’m wearing Medium/Short again. Regardless of whether you like these specific jeans, I highly recommend finding a pair of ‘black washed denim’ for this fall – they are cropping up everywhere and I think will be really popular this year!

And last, but not least is this super comfy, cozy cardigan! … And in leopard print to boot! Similar fit to the ribbed sweater up top, the sweater has the trendy dolman sleeve and perfect oversized fit. Very soft. Fit is TTS. I’m wearing a size small.
I apologize about my top! I didn’t order it too long ago and it’s already sold out! I linked a similar option below that I’ve been eyeing in other colors – might need to review that one now! I’ve seen it on other bloggers and seems to have good reviews.
