The Colorblock Sweater
Hi friends! I hope you all had a nice weekend. I had a few days off of work and it was nice to re-charge and stay off social media for the most part. It’s cooled down enough in Florida that we are able to take our dogs hiking several miles at local regional and state parks in the area. Our favorite is a 3 mile heavily wooded loop through a regional park nearby. It has a nice big bridge you can walk across and the trails are bedded with fallen pine needles, so I imagine our dogs enjoy it better than most trails in our area (which can be gravel or concrete if we are on a greenway path).
Today on the blog I wanted to share with you one of my favorite trends to date lately!… The colorblock sweater (or sweatshirt). This trend has been popular the last couple of years and I love all of the fun colorways brands design each season. My most recent buy was this cute Old Navy sweater which is a new arrival (and I imagine a pre-new arrival for Spring!). I looked ahead to Pantone’s spring 2021 color palette and I imagine they had this palette in mind when designing the colorblock pattern. It’s a nice mix of our winter palette and what feels like a salute to spring 2021.
What I loved most about this sweater, is that it was so dang easy to pair with items in my closet! I picked a dark wash denim similar to the navy blue color and my Steve Madden mules which are very similar to the beige/tan stripe. My earrings are a similar coral color to the bottom stripe also. Sweater fit is TTS! And also comes in a more neutral stripe option.

And in addition to my flatlay, I wanted to share all of my colorblock sweater favorites below! I currently own the Old Navy striped sweater shown above, the J.Crew Factory version, and the H&M sweater. However, I literally have all of these sweaters on my wish list or they were at one point waiting on a good deal! Right now the Ann Taylor sweater is probably at the top of my list ~ how gorgeous is that pink?! It also comes in a camel color!

And last, but not least my ‘find of the day’ ~ which is also my ‘deal of the day’ because it’s not only a new arrival, but also on sale! Love these camo pants! I ordered my regular size… I usually size down in this brand, but Nordstrom’s website claims they are TTS. So.. sizing TBD!
