2022 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Hi friends! The coveted Nordstrom Anniversary Sale or “NSale” is in full swing right now! It’s only open to Nordstrom cardholders until July 15th, but it goes through July 31st, and even if things are sold out now a lot of times they will be restocked before the sale ends.

The sale has become a little redundant for me over the last few years. This year Tory Burch wasn’t included in the sale which was a little disappointing. I also wasn’t blown away by the handbag or jewelry section – I remember my favorite NSale to date which had the best Sole Society and Baublebar finds. This year I felt like there were less “affordable finds” versus years past. That all said, I really stuck to my tried and true favorites. I rounded them up below!

This year was also my first NSale shopping in person. We used to live 1.5 hours from the closest store, but since moving farther north last spring, we now live about 30 minutes from the Tampa location. Last year I placed an order for pickup since we were in the middle of a Covid wave, but was disappointed that half of my order was cancelled/out of stock before it was ready for pickup. I made sure to arrive in store shortly after opening and it surprisingly went very well! The shoe section was little hectic, but overall it was a fast and easy experience. The Nordstrom employees were all in good spirits and very helpful. I would definitely shop in-store again!

Below is my in-store haul and I’ll share info about each piece below and also what I ordered online!

My husband and I are traveling back to our hometown in Indiana late September, so my goal was to find some easy layering pieces that would pair well with jeans. The weather in northern Indiana during early fall is hit or miss. Could be 80 degrees…. could be 40 degrees lol. This jacket is lightweight and will be the perfect layering piece. The arms are a little long on me since I’m petite, but I can easily roll the sleeves. I also love the cinched waist as it gives it a slightly dressier vibe. The are 4 color options to choose from. I found it fit TTS if not a little oversized. With the cinched waist, it’s not a type of jacket I would expect to button up, so I grabbed the best fit for my shoulders and arms which was my regular size small.

Next up is this puff sleeve top. I purchased this same top, or very similar, from the same brand last year in a fuchsia pink color. It’s a little thicker material and looks great tucked into jeans with a nice pair of mules. Fit is TTS. There are 5 colors to choose from.

With 9 colors to choose from, it was hard for me to pick my favorite! Alas, I love stripes though and this print was made for fall. This cozy sweater is definitely meant for the 50s or cooler type weather, but like I said – I don’t want any surprises in Indiana! Otherwise I’ll save it for a nice January in Florida haha. It’s very soft, stretchy, and definitely made for comfort. Fit is TTS.

This blazer is a closet repeat! I have it also in a plain black color. I couldn’t resist this new ‘rust spice’ color – and also will work great as a layering piece if our trip home is cooler. It’s also comfy like pajamas, but gives a dressy look, and looks great with jeans! Fit is TTS.

Another closet repeat, I come back year after year for these tees! They are priced less than $12, so they are worth picking up a few colors! Years ago they used to come in petite sizing and unfortunately they only come in regular sizes now – so they are a little long if you have a short torso like myself. I tuck them in or do a front tuck. You could also make a tie knot. That being said, I’m probably in the shorty minority 🙂 so these are a great tee if you want some length! Fit is TTS. Oh and I should mention – 15 colors to choose from!

These booties have been popular the last couple of years, but this was my first year purchasing them. I usually stick with Steve Madden or Vince Camuto boots, but I loved the look of this ivory pair. However, there are 3 other color options to choose from. These booties are priced at only $55 which I think is honestly a great price as they feel well made. I took my regular size 6 and felt they run TTS. The ‘croc’ print is very subtle and I feel like they are more ivory in person. I’m excited to wear these with a cordoruy skirt or darker fall-colored dress (like dark green or burgundy). I highly recommend!

My final in-store purchase are the ever so popular Steve Madden mules. This year they are back with a heavy chain detail that is very trendy right now. I picked this neutral color up in store to replace a pair of older beige mules I have in my closet, but I honestly loved all of the colors! I also ordered the plaid color online. Fit was TTS for me, but reviews suggest going up 1/2 size. I would say if you have a wider foot (so the pointy toe may be more constricting) follow the recommendation to size up. Highly recommend!

… and that was it for my in-store purchases! Below is what I ordered online:

The selection of jeans in store was extremely picked over unfortunately. The jeans I had on my wish list online also sold out very quickly. At the last second, I actually saw this pair on a table (only available in like 2 sizes haha) but I fell in love the color of the denim and also the raw hem. They are from Wit & Wisdom and priced at $50! I have a few pairs of jeans from this brand and they are wonderful for working from home – the waistband uses maternity jean technology, so they are stretchy and comfy! Right now most sizes are still available also.

I also ordered a couple of sweaters not available in store. I was really drawn to this slight puff shoulder striped sweater. It comes in 2 coloring options, but I have high hopes this ivory color will pair with my new booties (wishful thinking ha!) – but I also have rust colored mules and booties in my closet I can use as backup.

And I also ordered this $15(!!) sweater that is also on repeat from last year. I have several BP sweaters in my closet and they’ve always washed and worn fine. I love that they are soft and not acrylic – so Florida winter friendly! This years version is a ‘crop’ so beware that high-waisted jeans are a necessity. 4 color options to choose from.

Last, but not least I also ordered a couple more pairs of shoes online:

This was the second pair of Steve Madden mules I ordered in this awesome plaid color. I’ve seen several other bloggers style them with dark wash or black jeans and they look fantastic! These will make a great fall closet addition.

And to round up my purchases, I did invest in a new pair of Vince Camuto booties. I still have Vince booties in my closet form 6 years ago and they hold up so well. Always trendy, but always in style. I have a beige pair and cognac pair in my closet that are still in style, so I wanted to go out of my comfort zone here and ordered this “sable” color. I’m hoping they will pair well with dark grey jeans and of course regular black or dark blue.

Other notable items:

These jeans, boots, and sneakers are all on my wish list but I can’t justify the purchase right now. Well, the jeans I would have ordered straight away, but they are all sold out. Also by Wit & Wisdom, I love the bootcut style and can imagine wearing them with pointy toe mules and booties! The Steve Madden beige booties are on my wish list, but I have a similar Vince pair in my closet, so I can’t justify these (yet… lol). The Caslon lug sole boots I wanted so bad last year! But…. I honestly am not sure if they are still on trend for this year? I had them in my cart and then thought better of it and figured I’d wait a little closer to fall to see if they are still popular. However, if they are – I highly recommend! The boots look awesome with leggings and a tunic sweater! And lastly, Nike released their latest edition of their Pegasus running shoe and Nordstrom is featuring this new colorway! Gah, I definitely want them, but I just ordered a new pair of Brooks. And I figure since they are Nike then they will likely be waiting for me once I wear my new pair out in a few months.

2022 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Sale

….and that’s a wrap folks! I love this sale year after year, but I definitely found myself making major repeats this year – but that’s ok! I have items in my closet from the Nsale dating back to the first year I started shopping it – maybe 2014? If that’s an attestation to how well things hold up and how “basics” are sometimes the best purchases made!

Happy shopping! 🙂

I don’t think the Caslon chelsea boots really go out of style. They are classics! Love the green jacket you got. I have so many jackets though and not sure I can justify buying another one!
