Book Review: The Giver of Stars
Well hi guys! I feel like I mentioned forever ago that I wanted to start book reviews on the blog. And then it took me quite awhile to finish my next book – ha! Funny how that worked out. I’ve thankfully had more time to read recently, finished one book, and already 1/3 of the way through another one – so I’m hoping this is the start of many good book reviews to come. 🙂 My book review today is on Jojo Moyes’s “The Giver of Stars.” Here is the summary written on Jojo Moyes’s website: Alice Wright marries handsome American Bennett Van Cleve hoping to escape her stifling life…

On Trend: The V-Neck Boxy Cardigan
Hello all! I thought I would start an ‘on trend’ section on the blog… what would be a style blog without it, right?! I feel like fall 2020 trends are trickling in slowly. Sometimes it takes a little bit before the runway trends convert over to ‘real life’ fashion trends, and then our favorite retailers also catch on and create their own version. One big trend I’ve noticed so far this season are v-neck boxy cardigans. Not a regular cardi, not a long cardi, and not oversized – these are somewhat cropped (or hit at the hip), only have 3-4 buttons, and a v-neck. The variations come in textures, prints,…

Amazon Style Finds, Vol. 1
Hi friends! Today I wanted to share some recent Amazon favorites I’ve found! I know Amazon isn’t for everyone, but I love that they carry products you are unlikely to see on your neighbor! I like to try to find items I haven’t seen on other bloggers also, so you hopefully have new pieces to try. 🙂 Flannel dress: I feel like you can’t get more fall then a flannel dress! I love the that the pink color is a new take on traditional plaid colors, and it’s belted! The belt is functional, so if you prefer without, it’s removable. And…. pockets! I’m wearing a size small and it fits…

Wish List, Vol. 6
Multiple times a week I like to cruise my favorite retailer websites and add new arrivals to my cart. However, they usually sit there in my cart until a good sale hits, before I purchase! These were the items that caught my eye this week! cable knit sweater – I think every year I try to out-do myself for the perfect cable knit sweater. One that isn’t too tight, not too oversized, that is still classy but also soft and comfortable. I really love the look of this option from Nordstrom – it’s 3/4 length sleeve and described as a light-weight knit. Might be too good to be true for…

Style Under $30, Vol. 5
Happy Saturday! Below is this week’s affordable style post ~ all items either priced under $30 or on sale for under $30! Today’s items are a mixed bag, featuring this wonderful color palette so popular this fall! And can you tell graphic tees are on my mind. 🙂 spooky pup tee – My wardrobe has switched over to serving 2 purposes: wear to work and wear at home. If I can wear them both places, even better! I’ve been focusing on comfortable items lately, and graphic tees are so perfect for just that. They are easy to tuck into jeans/shorts and a skirt, and easy to layer under a cardigan/button down…

Flatlays Styled, Vol. 1
Hi everyone! Today on the blog I wanted to share a few flatlays that I’ve posted over on Instagram, along with try-on photos, so you can see how each item fits! I’ll also go through each item and mention sizing, because I know that can be a huge help! Outfit #1: This puff sleeve top is a great basic layer! It comes in 4 color options. It fits best tucked in to jeans or a skirt. The only negative is that it is slightly sheer. I wore a nude bra with this color and felt comfortable, but any darker color would show through pretty easily. So depending on how modest…

Amazon Review: Oversized Cardigan
Hi everyone! Today on the blog I have another Amazon review and style session! The brand is called Murimia and they asked me to review their newly released cardigan sweater. At the time I ordered, the only color available in my size is the color shown below – this lavender/gray option – but the sweater now comes in 7 color options, along with a few non-button leopard prints! As far as quality, I would say as expected for an open-knit sweater in the $30 range. Very similar to cardigans from Target or American Eagle. Fit is oversized, so go with you regular size or size down. I’m wearing a size…

Wish List, Vol. 5
Multiple times a week I like to cruise my favorite retailer websites and add new arrivals to my cart. However, they usually sit there in my cart until a good sale hits, before I purchase! These were the items that caught my eye this week! This week all items are from Nordstrom! graphic sweatshirt – I love a good graphic sweatshirt or tee, and this one is no different! I don’t know why, but love the saying, makes me smile! marble huggie earrings – I’ve become a huge fan of huggie earrings lately, I’m not sure if it’s because they are still dressy and easy to wear with everything, or…

I have…
