Fall Style: Lady Tweed Cardigan + Cap Toe Flats
Happy September! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend! Our (new to us… again) city did not have much going on this weekend, so my husband and I took the time to continue to decorate our new home and finish a few projects around the house. I’ve started running again recently and oy! talk about how being sore! I jogged a little over 2 miles my first outing and could hardly walk the next day – let’s just say I’m going to ease back into this one! I used to run 5k races frequently (I applaud those half/full marathon runners – 5ks for me are fun, if I go…

Striped Mock Sweater – Fall Outfit Inspiration
Hi everyone! I’m starting to get that fall bug a wee bit – it was 48 degrees this morning! We had a cold front come through this past week and out came a few warm clothes, that’s for sure! Alas, starting tomorrow is a week long heatwave, so it’s right back to feeling like I’m back in Florida ha! That being said, I know the temps will start to dip soon up here in Indiana, so I’ve got my eye on a few cute new items. This mock neck striped sweater caught my eye from J.Crew Factory – I love the variation in stripes and it also has that classic…

New life, New state, Blog update + OOTD
Hi friends! Wow, it’s been so long! The last few months have been a whirlwind. This little blog of mine has been a protected, safe space, and one I’ve loved on for many of years. While this blog has always just been a hobby of mine, and not a full time job, (however I do admire those that have hustled and made it in this space – bravo to them and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t jealous 🙂 ), I have never been quite ready to say goodbye. I still love everything about fashion, trends, and simply getting ready for the day. Nothing can replace the feeling…

Fall Style: Floral Dress
Hi friends! Today I wanted to share an adorable Amazon find – this floral mock-neck dress! My exact print is priced around $30 and comes as both this short-sleeve version and also a long sleeve option if you live where it’s colder! There are other prints available also, but with a slightly different style. My dress comes with a removable belt and the other options seem to have a smocked waist. Fit is TTS – I purchased my regular pant size (medium) and do not feel like the top portion is too big. It is a lightweight material, so will need tights underneath in the winter. The long sleeve version…

Flatlay Friday, Vol. 3
Happy Friday everyone! I’m sharing another Flatlay Friday here on the blog heading into another weekend! I hope you all have fun weekends plans ahead! Today is my husband’s birthday, so we got up early and took the dogs to our local state park for a little hiking. We were a little shocked when we stopped to pay at the gate – all of the trails were closed for a ‘hog hunt’! Ack… say what?! I guess because the pig population in Florida has gotten so overgrown, they easily destroy vegetation for other animals and are a nuisance of sorts, so they trap and kill them. Ugh. Just like with…

New at J.Crew
Hi friends! Today I wanted to share a few new arrivals from our beloved J.Crew! While I mostly shop at J.Crew Factory since they are more affordable, the ‘closet staples’ if you will, come from the real J.Crew! These are the items you keep your closet for years to come and never go out of style. They recently released a ton of new arrivals, and while I love so many of their coats and heavy sweaters… I thought I would keep my outfit semi-Florida (winter) friendly. Which is nearly impossible since our heat index is still 96 degrees! But, it won’t be too terribly long now til we actually have…

Fall Outfit: Sweater, Skirt, & Booties
Hi everyone! I’ve been dying to style one of my fall skirts with a sweater this fall, and we finally have some days coming up where I can make it work in Florida! Yay! The sweater/skirt trend has been really popular this year. You will see midi skirts more often styled in colder environments, but I prefer a knee length skirt since I’m a short human. 🙂 The key is to pick a skirt you can easily tuck the sweater into, whether it has an elastic band like mine does – or you could also throw a belt on for a more secure fit if needed. My sweater made it…

Fall’s Most Popular ‘Blazer’
Hi friends! This past week or so I’ve been a little all over the place with posting. Not much on the blog, lackluster on social media ~ if you all have been following me for awhile, you know it’s the same ole same ole! I usually work 3-4 days per week at my big girl job, but usually every 4-5 weeks I will pick up 1-2 extra shifts in a pay period and boom – exhausted. Lol. A little extra $$ is always nice and feels good to help out co-workers, but I slightly regret it every time! And then I do it all over again – ha! Bah, anyway.…

Save Lands
Hi friends! Today I want to share a clothing company on the blog today called Save Lands. This is a clothing brand, but with a bigger mission then just your regular customer service. They understand that our planet is being destroyed, and want to help! 80,000 acres of forests are destroyed EVERY DAY. Not to mention the west coast forest fires. It was always hard for me to wrap my head around builders and corporations obsession with tearing down entire forests in order to build, build, build until I moved to Florida. My husband and I purchased a house in a neighborhood that was started in 2007 and then when…
