    Casual Style: Tiered Ruffle Dress

Happy Cinco de Mayo! So today never really meant a whole lot to me ~ I love some tacos in my life, but not a big margarita girl, however a couple years ago this day took on a new meaning! May 5th is our little 2 year old pup’s happy ‘gotcha’ day – and he has only changed my life for the better ever since! So we celebrate today for a different reason, but for all those that love a good time (safely distanced of course haha) I hope you have a great evening! Today I’m sharing another affordable and fun dress option for this spring/summer. This dress is from…

    Casual Style: Tie-Dye Midi Skirt

Hi everyone! Sharing another fun skirt casual skirt option today! This midi skirt from J.Crew Factory is a recent new arrival on their website. This skirt comes in 2 colorways ~ the blue shown here and also a pretty yellow hue. I styled it quite simply here with a basic white tee and a neutral sandal. There are no petite sizes, so I’m wearing a regular size medium. Honestly, I think it fits a tad big. Thankfully the drawstring waist fixes that, but I could have probably could have taken a size small (I’m a normal size 28/6 for reference). If you are in between sizes, I would recommend sizing…

  • Nordstrom Rack new arrivals

    Nordstrom Rack ~ New Arrivals!

Confession! I haven’t shopped at Nordstrom Rack in forever… and I’m apparently missing out! I took a glance at their new arrivals page today and now I think I need to either place an order or make a special trip! (Our closest store is 40 minutes away). So many pretty tops for work, and I love the 3/4 sleeve sweatshirt popover top by Free People! They’ve also lowered their free shipping price a smidge.- it’s used to be a min. of $100 to ship free, and now it’s $89. Not great, but I usually only make a purchase with free shipping (I’m one of those people lol!). Take a look…

  • LOFT cardigan, GAP jeans, Steve Madden jeweled sandals

    Casual Style: Short Sleeve Cardigan

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! We are still on track to close on our new home May 28th and expected to move out of this apartment sometime early June. While we’ve had an overall good experience so far, I’m ready for our own space (not to mention more space ha!)… and peace & quiet. The neighbors above us have 2 little kids and I’m fairly certain they play fetch with them LOL! No joke… the kids run back and forth for hours on end and leap onto the floor. I’ve sent one complaint already to the front office, but I’m not sure they can…

  • Wish List 5/2/21

    Wish List, Vol. 12

Multiple times a week I like to cruise my favorite retailer websites and add new arrivals to my cart. However, they usually sit there in my cart until a good sale hits, before I purchase! These were the items that caught my eye this week! chunky beaded necklace | dress | ruched tank top | overalls | sandals I hope you all had a great weekend!

  • Caslon seamed tank, Caslon linen blend skirt, Steve Madden pearl sandals, A New Day woven clutch

    Casual Style: Linen Skirt

Happy Thursday! I hope you all are doing well! Today I wanted to share another cute outfit idea with the ever popular skirt trend. Similar to my last post, this is a comfy pull on skirt and easy to dress up or down. It’s actually meant to fit closer to knee-length, but doesn’t come in petite sizes, so it fits me more like a midi skirt. I like it just as well! This skirt is a linen blend and perfect for summer. It comes in a couple of striped options and solid colorways. I’ll link all options below. Here I paired the skirt with a relaxed tank. This tank has…

  • Candace Cameron-Bure woven midi skirt

    Candace Cameron-Bure Clothing Line

Hi friends! Today I want to share a new clothing line by way of one of my favorite celebrities – Candace Cameron-Bure! Think DJ Tanner from Full House/Fuller House! Or one of my favorite Hallmark Christmas movies. 🙂 She’s so talented! And to top off her resume, she’s released a clothing line via QVC. The April collection dropped on 4/19 and sold out fast. I was able to order this skirt via a pre-sale and wasn’t sure if things were going to re-stock, but they definitely have! Slowly and sizes vary, but it’s 100% worth sharing if you can snag a piece! My favorite item in her release was this…

  • J.Crew New Arrivals Spring 2021

    J.Crew ~ Spring 2021 New Arrivals

Moving update: Hi friends! I hope everyone is doing well! We are all settled into our temporary apartment up in Tampa. And boy do I remember what apartment living is like! Oy. We lived in an apartment for 2 years during pharmacy school until we couldn’t take it anymore and decided to rent a house. Best decision we ever made! And now I remember why lol! Honestly, the apartment part isn’t horrible. It’s mostly I can hear the neighbors upstairs moving around (I’m going to say they have a child… someone keeps running around up there… yet, I haven’t seen said child… so perhaps adults running from one end of…

  • J.Crew Factory Style Finds, Vol. 2

Hi friends! Happy Easter! So today is kind of a ‘whomp whomp’ sort of day – my husband is working 11 hours today and my dad + stepmom have her family in town, so while I’m not upset or anything, I’m a little bored ha! I also have this sort of sinus-y thing going on. Not even entertaining the “C” word lol! Which is annoying at best. So I decided to actually be a good blogger today and try get my mind off of things! Skip below for the blogging if you don’t want to read my life update. 🙂 Move update: If you’re wondering about our move, we finally…

  • Flatlay Friday, Vol. 6 (On Monday)

Well hi friends! Happy Monday! Man, things have been a whirlwind since I last posted. We sold and closed on our house on March 12th and ever since then…. drama. Lol! We are leasing back our current home from the new buyers, but only for 45 days (it’s a requirement per the type of mortgage loan they are using, something about they have to take occupancy in 60 days). We didn’t think that would be a problem, since as of March 17th my husband has already started commuting to Tampa for his new job (which is a 1.5 hour drive from Venice), so we assumed 45 days would be plenty.…
